“Now THAT’S the (other) Ticket!” McCain/Palin
Wow. John McCain really surprised the political world with Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate!
Perhaps Gov. Palin will attract some women over to the McCain campaign? She is very, very unknown, however. I’m interested to see how this works out. This is VERY, VERY interesting!
I don’t know much about Gov. Palin, but here’s what I do know:
- 44 years old
- Mother of five children (youngest has downs syndrome, oldest going to fight in Iraq)
- Pro-life, pro-gun, avid hunter
- Governor of Alaska, elected in 2006
- Mayor of a small suburb town (pop. 8,400) before Gov.
- Miss Alaska runner-up in the ’80s
- Palin rhymes with Van Halen (PAY-LYN)
- Her 17-year old daughter is pregnant
- Do you know anything I don’t know?

Meag that gave me a laugh! That’s what we like to call a oxymoron
like JUMBO SHRIMP hehe. And hey if they want to exterminate a population to keep it controlled I’d like to use the theory that we are also animals so shouldn’t they kill some of us to keep our population down? Oh wait Killing people is bad but animals not so much hmmm…. I’m stumped. But! there was a funny icon I found one day. “Why do we kill people to show people that killing people is bad?” … Humans make no sense. We are to complicated of a race! grrr…
She is in favor of exterminating the wolf population, a vital part of the natural balance of things.
When Palin addressed the media about the fact that her daughter was pregnant, it seemed that she was forcing her daughter to get married to this guy. She said, “Her and the young man, whom she will marry…” I dunno if it is because her 17 year old daughter is in love with her boyfriend, or because Palin wants to protect her image until the election is over. I’m sure that this will play itself out over the next few months
Im happy Mcain chose her for his running mate, and I will happily vote for them.
So its ok to kill an innocent animal for sport, but its not ok to remove a child you cannot support. Pro gun/pro life seems a little contradictory.
Excellent comment Maro! Careful though, the baby is 5 MONTHS old. The question is, how much did McCain know about all of this beforehand?
So what… her family is almost like any other. Disfunctional! Great her son is going to the war, his choice… Don’t involve him in this.. The focus is on McCain and Pallin. Her daughter is pregnant (woops her mistake?) And she has a 5 yr old who is handicapped… Doesn’t make her any less of a good leader. But the lack of knowledge with foreign affairs could hurt us.
I think it’s great that her daughter decided to still have the child. I’m not sure though, if I like it that she’s getting married to her high School boyfriend.
