McCain’s Acceptance Speech
John McCain gave an acceptance speech from Thursday night at the RNC. The 45 minute speech outlined his history, where he sees the Republican party moving in the future, and why he sees himself as an agent of change in Washington. He also spoke a lot about his running-mate, Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska.
A video and written transcript of the speech.
McCain did a good job of telling his story to the American people. Watch for yourself and make your own mind up.
Check it out: The 2008 Republican National Conventions YouTube Channel. It has all of the speeches from the convention and more!
Did McCain? No not quite bashing but he did compare what he could do to what Obama couldn’t. He wasn’t bashing the democratic party, but he did bash his own party a bit with realization. And Palin a productive VP? Wouldn’t count on it. Though I haven’t been paying attention to what she’s done in Alaska in the past, she knows nothing of foreign affairs and that’s all the U.S. is…. imports everywhere, very few exports, we are big on the trading chain and if something goes wrong I don’t think she could help us much. I think McCain’s (wife) would be more productive with all that she’s done
So McCain isnt the best speaker but so what. His ideas sound incredible and he seems to have it straight about what he wants to happen in America. Plus he didn’t bash his opponent which is really respectable because I’m really tired of Obama always doing that.
Obama might “doninate” in the debates but you dont necessarily have to be an amazing public speaker to be an effetive president. McCain did good but not great, his tragic story was touching and his experience was memorable to all other POWs. Palin is also very capable of being a productive VP…so watch out democrats
I thought McCain had a good speech, he was less offensive than Obama, but it might have helped him so that people view him as a war hero instead of the republican candidate talking down on the dem. candidate, unlike Obama. It’s going to be a close call this election.
That speech was really boring. Obama is a much better orator than McCain is. I think Obama will dominate the debates simply because McCain can’t express his ideas as well as Obama can
b.t.w. Mr. Osman. This is interesting. It has no relation to McCain’s speech
