Obama? McCain? The moderator? Joe the plumber?
Wait – Who is this Joe the Plumber guy?
Conversation about Joe the Plumber dominated the debate last night. McCain and Obama used the example of Joe, a plumber, to illustrate what will happen under their economic plans. This guy, is a real guy who asked Obama a question at a recent rally. To me, however, the point was quite tiring and seemed more like pandering than anything (from both sides). Maybe you liked it however?
Funny enough, there is another Joe the Plumber from Amarillo who has his own website! He’s the “Friendliest Plumber in Town!”
All-in-all, however, I found this to be the best of the three debates so far. They hit some key and interesting issues: how dirty the campaigns have gotten lately, the economy, abortion, and education. Immigration, however, stayed off the table I would have enjoyed a conversation on that important issue.
Update: Joe the Plumber isn’t a licensed plumber and he owes $1200 in back taxes. He’s also already held more press conferences than Gov. Sarah Palin.
i know that mccain was trying to prove a point about the average working man, but it was gettin kinda annoying after a while because he kept saying it over and over
It think that they both keep using Joe for their statements about how Obama was going to increase the taxes and how it was going to be an effect for joe that he wants to buy the business that he works for. McCain keeps saying that with Obama’s increase Tax it was going to be hard for you to keep his business up, since the price was to high not all the smal business were going to be able to pay the taxes. Obama restate his though about what he had said before about the increase of taxes. this is what i understand about Obama theorie. that he would not increase the taxes for small busines only for the large business that can effort the amout of taxes. thety both dicuss about the madicaid and madicare, obama siad that he wants to spend more money for health care and eduication., he wants to quit given money to programs tha twe don’t need that is making us to wast the american people money.. Obama only thinks what is good for the american people..
