Watch President Obama’s Speech Tonight at 8:00 – it should be on almost every major channel on your television. in fact, unless you’re watching MTV, it should be hard to avoid watching! Here is a good analysis from the Associated Press previewing the speech.

Chapter 3-4 Test Review

The test is on Thursday, 2/26 on Chapters 3 and 4!

As we get started on our bill projects – you’re going to need to find an issue that you care about.

What’s a problem in the world, in the US, in Texas, in Round Rock, or in your neighborhood, that you care about? And what could the US Congress do about it (if anything)? The more interesting your topic is to you, the more likely you are to create a bill that will make it through Congress successfully!

Grades are up for the 1st six weeks.
There will be no more grades this six weeks! There may be an opportunity for extra credit and tests may be corrected up to a 70.

I will be here:

Monday: after school
Tuesday: before/after school
Thursday: before school

I arrive at 8:30 (or earlier) in the mornings.
If you cannot make any of these days, please see me asap.

I understand that PBS isn’t exactly known for being the most exciting or sexy TV channel out there. BUT it does have some really great TV shows at times. (btw – Antique Road Show is awesome) Frontline is one of those really great shows on PBS.

Tonight at 8:00 PBS is having a sweet special on WHY exactly we’re in such an economic mess. I’ll be watching, and you should too. Frontline usually does a pretty good job of being politically unbiased.
