Ninjas and Drug dealers!

datePosted on 07:00, February 3rd, 2009 by mrosman

WBNS-TV is reporting that Clifton, NJ police have arrested two men claiming to be Ninjas!

Calling themselves ”Shinobi Warriors,” the 19 and 20 year old men were carrying knives, throwing stars, swords, nunchucks and a bow and arrows. The ‘Ninja’s’ were attempting to fight drug dealers in order to clean the streets of crime.

According to WBNS the two men accused drug dealers and users of having “committed sin of passing impurity” to others and that the “wind guides us to those of impure heart and intent.”

The bigger questions to answer here are:

  • What is morally wrong (if anything) about these dorky Batman type figures to try to beat up some drug dealers, the scum of society?
  • In an ordered society (one with a social contract), is it okay for ‘Ninjas’ to administer justice? (rather than the police)
  • What would Hobbes or Locke think of the Shinobi Warriors?
  • What are some other examples in Current Events of ‘vigilante-like’ people? Are these ‘Ninja’s’ different?

Two 'Ninjas' (not the ones arrested in the article)

BTW – I thought Ninja’s don’t get caught?

2 ‘possible points’ will be offered for each constructive comment on this post!

  2. Lilbeets570 on August 28th, 2008 at 3:32 pm

I can honestly say if i was back in a alley and there were two ninjas i would not think of them as drug dealers … i mean what would they be selling opium? … most drug dealers dont look like ninjas right?

The Ninjas were trying to catch the drug dealers! They’re trying to be like Batman – hunting the evil people in society.

i think even though these two guys were prolly on somethin lol, its still a good thing to have someone out there helping to clean up the streets. i mean even if they are acting like cartoon characters there still doin a good deed for the city

Thank God for Ninjas, and all that jazz, but seriously. Who ordained that ninjas should administer justice? unless they have shells on their backs and and were raised by an old overgrown rat, i think they should stick to their day jobs.

Ninja’s catching drug dealers with weapons? Wouldn’t that be harassment to the drug dealer and invading personal space and personal rights ?? …. I mean who’s the real criminal here… The Ninja’s cleanin up the streets, or the drug dealers not harming anyone but the druggies… Speculation

    This is just too funny.
More people should give it a try.

I dont think its the Ninjas job 2 go after the drug dealers!

so….i think its hilarious about these guys and that they should leave the justice serving to the police. But, if they caught the drug dealers in the act of things…. then they are at least doing something productive (since they can testify against the drug dealers) rather than getting in the cops way. But then again the way they were acting the drug dealer’s lawyers could focus on the fact that these guys are a little weird…

I think that the “Ninjas” were doing a just action, at least they were doing somethig about drugs on the street. To me the actions taken were more than some taken in the past. I do have one question though… what drugs were they on to make them think they were ninjas?

The ninjas should NOT be punished. Essentially they are being punished for trying to help the community. It is not like they were being evil ninjas and breaking in to people’s houses and stealing stuff. They were just trying to make the community a better place!

Vigilanteism is an interesting concept to explore. The idea of fighting crime and criminal actions by performing them seems to lack logic if you ask me. I can’t say that I am against it though. As with everything in life, you know the risks and consequences and if you feel like it is worth the risk, you go for it. I totally understand someone taking the law into their own hands when it is personal and your emotions guide your decisions, but it definitely isn’t a logical choice: fighting crime with crime.

I think thats nice what there doing but they might mess with the wrong people and get messed up trying to do the police man job.

I think its pretty cool that they want to get the drug dealers away, but what if one of the dealers have a gun they could get killed. So they should just leave it to the people who are trained.

These guys are idiots; i like ninjas, i like batman too, but you dont see me dressed up in black, wearing a cape, and fighting crime.

  16. luis on February 3rd, 2009 at 11:29 am

I think its tight that there tryin to help out and all, but they dont need all that ninja stuff.
Though it is funny as hell. But they shouldnt be punished , it was for a good cause, and its their choice to risk themselves for this. more than what the cops are doin.

  17. jimbo0419 on February 3rd, 2009 at 11:38 am

they were probly on drugs while doing this..

  18. kristin on February 3rd, 2009 at 11:43 am

In a last resort “Ninjas” could be administered. But using weapons against drug dealers shouldn’t be used as their own defense, thats what we have police for. Just because they wear costumes doesn’t give them the right to impose violence against drug dealers. Regular citizens can report to police, you don’t have to take it all upon yourself.

They have lost their minds. If they wanted to fight crime that bad and that “the wind was guiding them” then join the police force and use your talents that way. The whole ninja thin is over rated anyway.

sonds like these guys play too munch D&D(dungeons and dragon.)

  21. withanurgency131 on February 3rd, 2009 at 1:41 pm

I think that whoever these guys parents are, they need to cut back on their sugar intake, and then take away their season dvd’s of batman

  22. robert_s on February 4th, 2009 at 11:45 am

funniest thing i’ve ever seen in my life they need to upgrade what they use because drug dealers have guns bows and arrows are kind of out dated

Ninjas cant dodge bullets nomatter what mr.osman’s rock-paper-scissors game says.I think its putting the ninjas themselves in danger and the ninjas could be hurting innocent people. Aside from the laws and all, those guys are humans and teenagers at that. They would most likely make mistakes and end up hurting good people rather than the drug dealers.
