Octuplets – plus six more???
Have you heard about the woman who recently had octuplets – 8 kids?
A California Woman recently bore eight chilren via invetro fertilization. The catch is, that she already has six other children – all born in the same manner!
Can she handle fourteen children?
Here’s the question: Can a single woman, who’s mother recentliy declared bankrupcy, take care of 14 children on her own? What role should the government play in this situation? Should she be allowed to have more children via invetro fertilization?
How would a classical republican government respond?
What about a government based on the natural rights philosophy?
This women had choices and time to plan for her multiple children. If she does not have the financial means to take care of her children, she should do the responsible thing and file for adoption. The government should not intervene or help, it is not their responsibility. As I stated before the mother can file for adoption and still be a big part of her children life. I unders

She has been declared bankrupt, she shouldn’t have 14 kids. The kids will grow up in very poor conditions if she is allowed too keep them all.
withanurgency131 – I’m not sure that she’s collecting welfare checks yet. It costs quite a bit of money to get invetro fertilization. I wonder if she plans to get these welfare checks in the future?
This lady is a trooper but somewhat irresponsible! I mean she is a single mother living at home with 6 kids already and she wants more! Thats seriously insane! Those kids are not going to have the opportuites for a lot of things. I mean if they wanted to play sports, its costly! Not to mention going to college. There are lots of scholarships but its no doubt going to be definaltely have a hard time even with the help of her parents. I feel bad they dont have a father figure in their life
I think that this lady has to be the stupidest person collecting a welfare check in America. If she already has 6 kids with no father, and is just trying to get the government to pay her every month so that she can go out and but nice clothes and what not, she needs to be put in jail. That has to be the only reason she wanted another kid, because i mean honestly, who wants another kid after having 6? let alone having another 8 after having 6?

my mom was one out of fifteen and shes fine.

She should use all the publicity as a way to make more money. She could probably do diaper commercials or something.

I think so. Why is there a need for her to have more kids? She can’t afford the ones she has now so i don’t think that she should be allowed to have anymore. She has plenty of kids on her hands, no need for more. If she did have more kids it would just be more that the government to have to take care of and help pay for.

That is a lot of kids. she is definitely going to have money problems. She’s screwed. Uncle Sam is sure going to be happy. i hope the gov. helps her before she goes bankrupt.

Yeah i dont think she could support all those kids. Social services should come and take a few kids off her hands. I understand that those are her kids and she loves them but theres no way that she can afford all the neccesities for her children.
the problem with this is that because she is single and doesnt have a job, the government will have to support all these children. look at it this way.. if each child costs $500 to feed and cloth and diaper every month.. that will cost us (the tax payers) $7000 every month just for HER children. but who does the blame fall upon?? the woman?? or the company who allowed this to happen?? their both liable..
O.k., my family has a tendency to get large. My grandmother was one of 14 herself but the difference is, they were able to handle it. They had the money to care for the children so there wasn’t a problem. But this woman is single and living with her bankrupt mom! She needs help. I feel for the kids in needing help and the mother shouldn’t be aloud to to that to them so with that being said i think the government should help them but I don’t think the mother should be aloud embryos anymore. At least until she is on her feet and can truly take care of them on her own.
This is crazy! I don’t think she can handle 14 kids. She is newly divorced and going threw bankruptcy. She lives at home with her mother in a 3 bedroom house. I do not see how that is possible with 16 people in a house. NO MORE KIDS!
thats a lot of kids. and everyone knows there is ganna be money problems that come with 14 kids. so i think the gov. should help them out.

Why’s it such a bad idea to have 14 kids? My Dad is one of 11 kids – he turned out alright. What’s the difference???
This woman cannot support 14 children. She lives at home with her parents, and couldnt posibly have a job to pay for doctors appointments, and basic care for all children. She has every right to have these kids, but if for some reason their health is at risk then social services should deffinatly step in.
