Final Exam Review
Seniors: Your final exams will be a little early. I’ve posted a copy of the review below.
The point of this review is NOT for you to look these terms up in the back of the book. Be sure that you understand the CONCEPTS behind them. Use the PowerPoints on this website, the notes you’ve taken over the semester, the reviews you’ve done over the semester, and the book. (And probably in that order too.)
You will be allowed ONE 3×5 (no larger) note card to use for notes. You can use both sides of the card, and you may put anything that you want on it.
Keep in mind, however, that you must understand that CONCEPTS to do well on this exam.
Take some time to READ the book, rather than the glossary!
Gov REVIEW SHEET for FINAL – 2010
Study! The test will be harder than you think.

Test Thursday/Friday
Your last regular test will be this Thursday/Friday on the Judicial Branch!
It’s 25 multiple choice questions long. Use these PowerPoints and chapters 18-21 in your textbook to help you study. There will be no study guide for this test!
Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions.
(I suggest using Microstof Internet Explorer to view these PowerPoints)
Congressional Homework: Windowpanes
What did you think of our congressional simulation? Have your opinions about Congress changed?
Here is a summary of your homework due next class. Take some time to make this nice – I’d like to show them off to people around the classroom/school/district.
In each box, illustrate the answer using as few words as possible. Make sure that the average person can understand your drawing (without you there to explain it!) Try to put all of the complexity you would put into your writing into your drawings.
Divide your paper into six equally sized boxes and fill them in with graphic illustrations as follows in the table below:
|
YOU |
The issue you care most about |
| The BEST thing about Congress | The WORST thing about Congress |
| The greatest problem facing the United States | What should be done about the greatest problem facing the United States |
Remember, the issue you care most about may actually not the the greatest problem facing the United States right now! Take some time with this fun assignment – don’t slack on it – and you’ll enjoy it.
